Overview of DevEx Calculator
If you’re a Roblox developer, the DevEx Calculator is a handy tool to figure out how much real money you can get for the Robux you’ve earned. This tool uses the official Roblox Developer Exchange (DevEx) rates to convert your Earned Robux balance into dollars.
In todays guide, we explain how the DevEx program works, how to use the calculator, and what the current roblox DevEx rates are. We include real examples (e.g. 30K, 100K, 1M Robux) and a handy conversion table. We also cover DevEx eligibility requirements (like how much 30K, 100K, or 1M Robux is worth) and a handy conversion table.
We’ll also explain the requirements to cash out and provide step-by-step instructions. So let’s get into it.
What is a DevEx Calculator?
A DevEx calculator is a tool that applies Roblox’s official Developer Exchange (DevEx) conversion rates to your Robux. So, if you have a certain amount of Robux, the calculator will tell you how many US dollars you can get for them. It’s super helpful for Roblox creators who want to cash out their earnings.
Our calculator is very simpl it takes an input amount of Earned Robux and multiplies by the current cash-out rate. By selecting the appropriate DevEx rate (standard or bonus rate) you instantly see your estimated USD payout.
You can use this calculator to plan your earnings or see how well your game is doing. Just remember, this calculator is unofficial and only gives you an estimate. Roblox’s real cash-out process uses the same ratesbut you need to follow all the DevEx rules and make a formal request.
Creators often calculate their after-tax earnings before estimating a DevEx payout. If you need to know how much Robux remains after Roblox takes its marketplace fee, check out our Robux Tax Calculator and then use this DevEx Calculator to estimate your USD earnings.
What Is DevEx Roblox?
The Roblox Developer Exchange (DevEx) is Roblox’s system for converting game earnings into real currency. Now, keep in mind this only works for Earned Robux. That’s the Robux you get from creating games, selling items, or getting payouts. It doesn’t count for robux you bought or received as a giift.
To cash out, you have to meet a few requirements and send a request through the DevEx portal. Once approved, Roblox pays you in US dollars based on a set exchange rate. Our DevEx calculator does all the math for you, so you can skip the manual multiplication. Just pop in your earned Robux and pick the right rate to see your estimated payout.
How This DevEx Calculator Works
Using the calculator is very simple:
- Enter Earned Robux: Type the number of Earned Robux in your account into the input field. So, if you’ve made 150,000 Robux from your awesome game sales, just type in `150000`.
- Select a DevEx Rate: Choose which rate applies to your Robux. Roblox currently has multiple rates: the Standard (new) rate, the Old rate (for legacy Robux), and the special US 18+ rate.
- View Your USD Payout: The calculator will instantly show you how much money you could get in US dollars. It uses the simple formula `USD = Robux × Rate`. You can also switch tabs to change dollars back to Robux or see how many Robux you need to reach a money goal.
Most people will use the roblox DevEx Calculator tab to see how much their Robux are worth in US dollars. Just make sure you pick the right DevEx rate. The other tabs you might see are:
- Robux → USD: Same as DevEx tab, but could allow using a fixed rate if needed.
- USD → Robux: Enter a dollar amount to see how many Robux that corresponds to (inverse of DevEx).
- Target Earnings: Enter a USD goal, and it tells you how many Robux you’d need to earn.
The key is picking the correct rate, which depends on when and how your Robux were earned (see below).
Current Roblox DevEx Rates
In September 2025, Roblox started paying creators more. They changed the DevEx rate from $0.0035 to $0.0038 for each Robux. This was a welcome 8.5% raise for developers. Then, in June 2026, they introduced a special rate for money made from US players who are over 18. This “US 18+ DevEx Rate” is even better at $0.0054 per Robux.
This means if you earn 30,000 Robux from this group, you get $162. To get this rate, you have to meet certain rules which you can read about here. Here’s how the old and new rates stack up at different earning tiers:
- Old Rate (pre-Sep 2025): $0.0035 per Robux. – This applied to Robux earned before September 5, 2025. (For example, 30,000 Robux at $0.0035 yields $105.)
- New Standard Rate (Sep 5, 2025 onward): $0.0038 per Robux. – All new Earned Robux from September 5, 2025 onward use this rate. (30,000 Robux × $0.0038 = $114.)
- US 18+ Rate (June 8, 2026 onward): $0.0054 per Robux. – In June 2026, Roblox introduced a bonus rate for games with age-verified players 18+. Eligible U.S. creators now get $0.54 per 100 Robux instead of $0.38 (a 42% increase). (30,000 Robux × $0.0054 = $162.)
You can find these numbers on Roblox’s support page. They show the standard rate is $0.0038 per Robux, which is about $114 for 30,000 Robux. The page also lists the old rate of $0.0035 and the special US 18+ rate of $0.0054. Roblox sets these rates, and they don’t change often.
DevEx Calculator Examples
Let’s look at some examples with the current rate ($0.0038 per Robux). I’ll also point out the special US bonus rate when we can use it
- 30,000 Robux: At the new $0.0038 rate, 30K Robux yields $114. (At the old rate it would have been $105.) If you qualify for the US 18+ rate, it would instead be 30K × $0.0054 = $162.
- 50,000 Robux: 50K × $0.0038 = $190. Under old rate it would be $175.
- 100,000 Robux: 100K × $0.0038 = $380. (Old rate would be $350.) Under US18+ rate it’d be $540.
- 500,000 Robux: 500K × $0.0038 = $1,900. Under US18+ rate, it’s $2,700.
You can check these numbers with our DevEx calculator. Just type in the Robux amount to see how much money you can get. You can also use the USD→Robux tab to see how much Robux you can get for a certain amount of dollars.
Roblox DevEx Eligibility Requirements
Not all Robux can be turned into real money. You need to meet Roblox’s DevEx rules first. Here’s what Roblox says you need to do:
- Age 13 or older. Roblox enforces a minimum age requirement for payouts.
- Verified Email Address. Your account must have a confirmed email.
- Active Roblox Premium Membership. (Roblox usualy requires a Premium subscription; if it lapses you may be ineligible)
- Valid DevEx Portal Account. You need to have created (or been invited to) a DevEx Portal account on Roblox.
- Minimum Earned Robux: You must have at least 30,000 earned Robux in your account. “Earned Robux” means Robux earned from games or content you created, not Robux you purchased with real money.
To cash out your Robux using DevEx, you need a few things. Make sure you have at least 30,000 earned Robux, which comes from things you create and sell in your games. You’ll also need a Premium membership and have all your account info, like your tax and bank details filled out and correct. Once you have all that you are ready to go.
What Is the Difference Between Earned and Purchased Robux?
Earned Robux is what you get as a creator. Think of it as your income from making amazing stuff on Roblox. This may includes Robux from:
- Game passes
- Developer products
- Selling avatar items
- Group payouts
Purchased Robux, on the other hand is Robux you buy with real money from the Roblox store. You can’t cash this kind out through DevEx.
So, here’s a simple way to look at it: if a player spends 10,000 Robux in your game, that’s earned Robux for you, and you can cash it out. But if you buy 10,000 Robux yourself, that’s purchased Robux, and it stays in your account for spending.
Basically, only the Robux you earn from your creations can be cashed out.
How Can I Cash Out Robux Through DevEx?
Once you’ve met all the requirements, go to the DevEx Portal on the Roblox website. Here’s what you’ll need to do:
- Verify Your Information: In the DevEx portal, confirm your identity, link a PayPal or bank account, and fill out any required tax forms (e.g. a W-9 for US citizens). Roblox uses a third-party (Tipalti) to process payments.
- Submit a DevEx Request: Enter the amount of Robux you want to cash out (must be between 30K and 4 million Robux per request, as per policy) and choose the payout currency (USD).
- Roblox Review: Roblox will review your application (checking you have the minimum Robux, Premium subscription, etc.). This can take a few days.
- Payment: Approved requests are paid on a regular schedule. Roblox usually pays out DevEx in USD via your PayPal or bank once per month or so (after processing time).
The money you get depends on how much earned Robux you have and the cash-out rate. If you earned Robux under different rates, Roblox will adjust the payout. Our calculator keeps it simple by using one rate for all your Robux.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much is 30,000 Robux worth in USD?
With today’s rate, 30,000 Robux is worth $114. With the old rate, it was $105. And with the US 18+ rate, it’s $162. You can use our Roblox DevEx calculator to see all these values
Can I cash out Robux I bought with real money?
No. DevEx only pays out Earned Robux (earned through your games or content). Purchased Robux or promotional Robux cannot be exchanged for cash.
What is the current DevEx rate?
As of 2026, the standard DevEx rate is $0.0038 per earned Robux. (Robux earned before Sep 5, 2025 use the old $0.0035 rate.) Plus, Roblox introduced a higher US 18+ rate of $0.0054. Use our rate selector to apply the correct rate.
Why does my calculator result differ from Roblox?
You might be using a different rate. Make sure you pick the right one for your Robux (old, new, or US 18+). Roblox might also take out taxes or fees. This calculator shows the total amount before taxes are taken out.
Is this calculator official?
No, this calculator isn’t official. It’s a handy tool that uses the official rates to give you an estimate, but it’s not made by Roblox. To get your actual money, you should always use the official Roblox DevEx Portal and read Roblox’s own documents.
What happens if I have Robux earned at both the “Old Rate” and “New Rate”?
If you earned Robux before September 5, 2025, that’s your “Old Rate” Robux. You have to cash out all of your “Old Rate” Robux first before you can cash out any Robux earned at the “New Rate.” So, if you have 30,000 “Old Rate” Robux, you must cash all of it out before touching your “New Rate” Robux
Does spending Robux reduce my “Old Rate” balance?
No, spending Robux won’t change your “Old Rate” balance. When you buy things in Roblox, the Robux comes from your total amount. It doesn’t help you use up your “Old Rate” Robux faster. You still have to cash out all your “Old Rate” Robux first before you can cash out at the “New Rate.”
Conclusion
The DevEx Calculator is designed to help Roblox creators quickly estimate their Robux-to-USD payout. By entering your earned Robux and choosing the right rate, you can see the approximate cash value of your in-game earnings. Remember that actual payout requires meeting all DevEx conditions and submitting a request in the DevEx Portal. Rates can change (Roblox has updated the rate in Sep 2025 and June 2026) so always refer to Roblox’s Developer Hub or Help pages for the latest info.
